Hybrid cooling combines dry cooling and wet cooling to provide heat rejection and reduce water and energy consumption. They allow for the reduction of plume, especially visible plume during cold wet weather and in winter, when it can lead to icing. The plume abatement is particularly beneficial in urban areas, industrial areas, and close to roads with the potential of icing. The hybrid cooling towers reduce the consumption of water and have high water saving rate, especially in Middle East.
